MOHAWK — State Police responded to I-90 near mile marker 220.4 June 6 at 10:35 a.m. for a motorcycle crash.
Operator Brian A. Kelsey, age 64, from Arkport, was operating a 2023 Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound.
Investigation determined that Kelsey attempted to merge into the right lane due to a left lane closure at a construction zone.
While attempting to merge, Kelsey struck a traffic cone which caused him to lose control.
The motorcycle overturned and slid approximately 500 feet.
At some point during the slide, Kelsey was ejected from the motorcycle.
Kelsey was treated by EMS on scene for minor injuries and transported by ambulance to Wynn Hospital for evaluation.
No tickets were issued.
