LLOYD — Lloyd Police responded to the Highland side of the Mid-Hudson Bridge at approximately 1:52 p.m. today for a report of an individual who had jumped off the bridge.
A Lloyd Police unit arrived within minutes, located the individual’s car and were directed by bridge workers who witnessed the jump.
City of Poughkeepsie Police and City of Poughkeepsie Fire Department were immediately contacted and responded to the scene.
City of Poughkeepsie Fire deployed their fire boat and approximately 20 minutes later located the individual alive in the river several hundred yards south of the bridge.
City of Poughkeepsie Fire transported the Dutchess County man to Waryas Park in Poughkeepsie where he was transported to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital.
