FLOYD — State Police were dispatched to State Route 49 on June 6 at 10:32 a.m. for a single vehicle crash.
Preliminary investigation determined that a vehicle was operating eastbound on State Route 49 when it left the roadway on the south shoulder and then struck a tree.
The male operator, who was the sole occupant in the vehicle, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced deceased on the scene.
The crash is currently under investigation by the State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Collision Reconstruction Unit.
