PANTON — A Vergennes man faces multiple charges after allegedly entering vehicles without permission and stealing items from two of them early June 3.
Matthew Porcaro, 38, was cited on two counts of petit larceny and four counts of unlawful trespass following an investigation by Vermont State Police.
Troopers responded at approximately 1:16 p.m. June 3 to a report of an overnight theft outside a residence on Vermont Route 22A.
Investigation revealed that at approximately 1 a.m. that morning, Porcaro entered four motor vehicles without the owners’ consent and stole items from two of the cars.
The victims were identified as Jill Wade, 42, Phillip Wade, 39, Angela Wade, 64, William Wade, 67, and Kasey Cavoretto, 20, all of Panton.
Porcaro was issued a citation June 6 to appear in Addison County Superior Court, Criminal Division at a later date.
Troopers were assisted by the Vergennes Police Department.
