Duxbury woman arrested on domestic assault charge

DUXBURY — Vermont State Police arrested a 28-year-old woman Thursday night on a charge of first-degree aggravated domestic assault.

Dakota Griswold was taken into custody at approximately 9:17 p.m. on Westcott Road following a reported domestic assault involving two household members.

Police said their investigation revealed Griswold used a handheld stun gun during the assault, causing pain and fear to the victims.

One victim was identified as a 58-year-old Duxbury resident.

Vermont State Police does not release the names of domestic violence victims.

Griswold was transported to the Berlin Barracks for processing following her arrest.

She was subsequently lodged at Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility on $2,000 bail.

Griswold is scheduled to appear in Washington County Court’s Criminal Division at 12:30 p.m. Friday.
