RAYMOND — A 41-year-old Raymond man crashed his vehicle into a utility pole on Egypt Road near Vogel Road at 6:40 a.m. June 6, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.
Christopher Teas was driving his 2014 Toyota Sienna eastbound on Egypt Road when he lost control, went off the roadway and struck a Central Maine Power utility pole.
The crash brought down all the wires across the roadway.
Teas was treated for non-life-threatening injuries by Raymond EMS and released at the scene.
He was issued a traffic summons for imprudent speed as a factor in the crash.
Central Maine Power was dispatched to replace the pole and restore electricity to the affected area.
Egypt Road was closed for an extended period.
Area school districts were notified of the road closure that may have affected local bus routes.
The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office thanked the Gray Fire Department and Raymond Public Works for their assistance at the scene.
