BOSTON — A 27-year-old Dorchester man was arrested Thursday on multiple firearm and drug-related charges following the execution of search warrants.
Officers from the Drug Control Unit of District B-2 (Roxbury), working with the FBI Metro Boston Task Force, arrested Ronald Cox at approximately 8:43 a.m. during a drug investigation in the area of 223 Callender Street in Dorchester.
During the search, officers recovered a Taurus 9mm handgun with seven rounds in the magazine, a firearm holster and one loose round of ammunition.
Police also seized one plastic bag of crack cocaine, six unknown pills, drug packaging material, digital scales and $667 in U.S. currency.
Cox is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, possession with intent to distribute a Class B substance, and possession with intent to distribute, subsequent offense.
