Rhode Island troopers arrest 2 men in separate incidents

WICKFORD — Rhode Island State Police arrested two men in separate incidents on Jan. 18.

At 2:10 p.m., troopers arrested Jeremy Kirk, 35, of 76 Dunham Street, Trenton, New Jersey, as a fugitive from justice from New Jersey for failure to appear on an original charge of obstructing an officer in execution of duty.

The arrest resulted from a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in Warwick.

Kirk was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks where he was processed and arraigned before a justice of the peace.

He was then transported to the Adult Correctional Institutions Men’s Intake Center.

At 5:42 p.m., troopers arrested Daniel Dill, 35, whose last known address was 830 Chalkstone Avenue, Providence, for two counts of threats to a public official and simple assault and/or battery.

The arrest resulted from an assault that occurred at 4th District Court.

Dill was transported to the Adult Correctional Institutions Men’s Intake Center where he was held as a violator pending arraignment.
