Newbury man arrested for violating court order

NEWBURY — A 61-year-old Newbury man was arrested Wednesday evening for violating conditions of his release after police found him at a residence he was court-ordered to avoid.

Theodore Garrison was taken into custody at approximately 7:31 p.m. on U.S. Route 302 after Vermont State Police troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks responded to a report that he was inside the prohibited residence.

Troopers located Garrison inside the residence upon arrival and transported him to the St. Johnsbury barracks for processing.

Garrison was issued a citation to appear in Orange County Superior Court – Criminal Division on June 5 at 12:30 p.m.

He was lodged at Northeast Correctional Complex with $200 bail.
