ANSONIA — A 55-year-old Ansonia man was arrested by warrant June 4 for his involvement in a fraud and theft investigation.

Harry Danley was charged with first-degree larceny after a conservator for an 85-year-old Ansonia resident reported possible theft in March.

The investigation revealed numerous checks written to Danley dating back to 2020 totaling more than $20,000, according to the Ansonia Police Department.

Police said there appeared to be no legitimate reason for the checks.

Danley was released on $35,000 bond with a court date of June 18 at Derby Superior Court.
