UTICA — A 21-year-old man faces multiple charges after police say shots were fired at a residence and a loaded handgun was later found in his vehicle.
Utica Police units responded to the intersection of Mathews Avenue and Highland Avenue at approximately 6:40 p.m. May 30 regarding a shots fired investigation in which a residence was struck.
The investigation was assigned to members of the GIVE Unit and suspect information was developed.
On June 2, GIVE and Patrol units located the suspect vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.
During the stop, a male was detained and a bag was located within the vehicle.
Following an impound inventory, a loaded .45 caliber handgun was located within the bag.
Talik Livingston, 21, of Utica was transported to the Utica Police Department and charged in connection with the May 30 incident with reckless endangerment in the first degree, criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree and criminal possession of a firearm.
He was also charged in connection with the June 2 incident with criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree and criminal possession of a firearm.
