LEWISTON — Maine State Police have identified a 42-year-old woman found dead at a residence on Old Greene Road as Melissa Donoghue of Lewiston.
Lewiston Police Department responded to the residence at approximately 5:10 a.m. Monday for a death investigation.
The Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit South was called to investigate at the request of Lewiston police.
An autopsy was performed Tuesday at the Office of Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta.
The cause and manner of death are being withheld as the investigation remains ongoing.
Police said there is no threat to the public.
