FLEMING — A 43-year-old Fleming man was arrested May 31 on petit larceny charges for allegedly stealing a can of beer from a local convenience store nearly three months earlier.
Matthew R. McKay was charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor, according to Cayuga County Sheriff Brian Schenck.
Deputies were dispatched to a larceny complaint at the Pit Stop in Fleming around 11:48 a.m. on March 7.
The investigation determined that McKay had stolen a 25-ounce can of Budweiser beer, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies located and arrested McKay on May 31.
He was processed and taken to CAP Court at CCJ due to having multiple similar open cases, where he was remanded in lieu of $500 cash bail.
