Ferrisburgh woman charged with DUI, unlawful mischief after Panton crash

PANTON — A 38-year-old Ferrisburgh woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a single-vehicle crash June 2.

State police responded to the crash at approximately 4:51 p.m. at the intersection of Lake Road and Arnold Bay Road.

Troopers detected indicators of impairment from Melissa Sorelle during their investigation.

Sorelle was screened and taken into custody for suspicion of DUI.

She was transported to the New Haven Barracks for processing.

While being processed, Sorelle escalated, resulting in damage to equipment, police said.

Sorelle was issued a citation to appear before the Vermont Superior Court – Addison Criminal Division at a later date.

She was charged with DUI and unlawful mischief.
