WORCESTER — A Worcester Police officer arrested a 37-year-old Webster man on heroin trafficking charges May 31 at the Walmart on Tobias Boland Way.
The officer was working an assigned detail at the store at about 5:30 p.m. when the asset prevention team notified him that two people were trying to leave without paying for items.
Christopher Lienczewski was detained and questioned by the officer.
Lienczewski initially lied about his name, but the officer eventually discovered his true identity and confirmed that he had two active warrants.
Lienczewski was placed under arrest for his warrants.
A search of his person revealed a large amount of what appeared to be fentanyl and heroin, and a smaller amount of what appeared to be crack cocaine.
Lienczewski is charged with trafficking in heroin 18-36 grams, possession of a Class B substance with intent to distribute, and his warrants.
