FREETOWN — A 36-year-old Cortland man was arrested on weapon possession and criminal contempt charges following a sheriff’s office investigation.
Patrick E. Albro of Evergreen Street was charged with criminal contempt in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, both misdemeanors.
Officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in Freetown at approximately 7:06 p.m. May 28 for an investigation.
While on scene, officers determined that Albro was unlawfully in possession of a firearm.
Albro turned himself in to the sheriff’s office May 29 at 9:25 p.m., where he was arrested and processed.
He was issued appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear for arraignment in Freetown Town Court on June 12 at 6:30 p.m.
