BAINBRIDGE — A Bristol, Connecticut man was arrested May 26 after leading Chenango County sheriff’s deputies on a chase that ended in Delaware County.
Yannel Rivera, 55, was charged with reckless endangerment in the second degree, obstructing governmental administration in the second degree and unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle in the third degree.
Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle Rivera was operating in the Town of Bainbridge for New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law violations.
Rivera failed to comply and led deputies on a pursuit into Delaware County.
Rivera was eventually apprehended in Delaware County.
The Chenango County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the NYC DEP Police and the Village of Walton Police.
Rivera was processed at the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office and released on appearance tickets to appear in the Town of Bainbridge Court on a later date.
