Cabot man arrested on suspicion of DUI drugs after found passed out in vehicle

CABOT — Vermont State Police arrested a 34-year-old man on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs after he was found passed out in his vehicle June 1.

Police were contacted at 12:24 p.m. regarding a male passed out in the driver’s seat of a vehicle on Bothfeld Hill Road.

Troopers arrived on scene and spoke with Justin Gilbert of Cabot.

While speaking with Gilbert, troopers detected indicators of impairment.

Gilbert was subsequently arrested for suspicion of DUI drugs.

Gilbert was transported to the Vermont State Police barracks in Berlin for processing.

He was later released on a citation to appear in Washington County Superior Court on July 17 at 8:30 a.m.
