ATHOL — Two men were arrested Thursday following a lengthy investigation into a home invasion that occurred this past winter, police said.
Dante Machuca and Andrew Poor were taken into custody after police executed two separate search warrants with assistance from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and several local, state and federal agencies, according to a press release from Police Chief Craig A. Lundgren.
Both men were arraigned Friday at Orange District Court on multiple charges including home invasion, armed assault in a dwelling, armed assault to rob, and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.
Additional charges include assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery, possession of a firearm in commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm without a license.
