2 dead in Dorchester shooting, police seek information

BOSTON — Two men were pronounced dead following a shooting in Dorchester late Saturday night, according to Boston police.

Officers from District B-3 responded to 38 Franklin Hill Avenue at approximately 9:47 p.m. on May 24 after a ShotSpotter activation.

Upon arrival, officers found two men suffering from gunshot wounds.

Both victims were transported to local hospitals with life-threatening injuries where they were later pronounced dead.

The deceased have been identified as Walter Wilkens, 36, of Quincy and Anthony McIntosh, 66, of Dorchester.

The Boston Police Department’s Homicide Unit is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
