Yonkers police arrest man in bakery printer theft

YONKERS — Yonkers police have arrested a man accused of stealing a printer from La Pinata Bakery on New Main Street earlier this week.

According to the Yonkers Police Department, Curtis Moore, 40, entered the bakery at 118 New Main St. and removed a box containing a new printer early Tuesday morning.

Bakery owners reported the theft to police, and detectives in the Crime Control Strategies Unit quickly identified Moore as a suspect.

Moore was apprehended earlier Thursday with the assistance of the Pattern Crimes Unit.

Officials said Moore has a history of thefts and related charges, and has accumulated more than 40 career arrests.

He was charged with petit larceny in connection with this week’s theft.
