Teen injured after being trapped under vehicle in Lunenburg

LUNENBURG — A 16-year-old was seriously injured after being trapped under a vehicle late Friday night.

The crash occurred at approximately 10 p.m. on May 30 on Cole Hill Road near Guildhall Hill Road.

Vermont State Police responded to the scene and found the juvenile pinned beneath a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer.

Emergency crews worked to free the teen, who was then airlifted to UVMMC with suspected serious injuries.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the vehicle had stopped in the roadway before the juvenile exited.

The vehicle then backed up, striking and trapping the teen.

The driver, 18-year-old Landon Biodeau of Granby, was not injured.

The juvenile’s seat belt use was unknown.

The crash remains under investigation.

Lunenburg Fire Department and Lancaster EMS assisted at the scene.
