RICHFORD — A local man was arrested on an active warrant and charged with resisting arrest Thursday evening.
Anthony Tracy, 44, of Richford was identified by Vermont State Police troopers while standing on a sidewalk on Main Street at approximately 6:54 p.m.
Tracy had an active warrant for felony grand larceny exceeding $900 under 13 VSA 2501.
Troopers attempted to take Tracy into custody, but he resisted arrest.
He was eventually detained and transported to Northwest State Correctional Facility in St. Albans.
Tracy was held on $1,000 bail for the warrant.
He was issued a citation to appear in Franklin County Criminal Court at 1 p.m. Friday for the larceny charge.
An additional citation orders Tracy to appear in the same court on Aug. 12 at 8:30 a.m. for resisting arrest.
