RANDOLPH — A 58-year-old man was arrested for driving under the influence while operating a riding lawn mower on Route 66 Saturday morning.
Troopers responded to a 911 call about a male driving a gas-powered John Deere riding lawn mower on Roger’s Road and Route 66 at approximately 8:36 a.m. on May 31.
Upon arrival, officers found Jonathan M. Aiudi operating the lawn mower on Route 66.
Aiudi displayed signs of alcohol impairment and was put through field sobriety exercises, according to police.
During the arrest, Aiudi allegedly resisted, resulting in a use of force by troopers.
After being placed in handcuffs, Aiudi was treated by White River Valley Ambulance for a small laceration on his face.
No hospitalization was required for his injuries.
Aiudi was processed and released with a criminal citation to appear in Orange County Superior Court, Criminal Division, at a later date.
