IRASBURG — A 69-year-old Irasburg woman was cited for simple assault following a physical altercation at a residence on Vt Route 14 on May 13.
Troopers responded to the scene at approximately 1:10 p.m. after receiving a report of a physical dispute.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with both Sharon Blessed, 69, and Sandra Montbleau, 68, both of Irasburg, about the incident.
Further investigation revealed that both women had engaged in a physical altercation.
Troopers determined Blessed was the aggressor in the dispute.
Blessed was cited to appear in Orleans Superior Court on the simple assault charge.
