GREENWICH — State Police in the greater Greenwich area made several arrests for driving while intoxicated and related offenses between May 23 and May 27, as reported across neighboring towns.
On May 23, at about 12:00 a.m., troopers responded to a single-vehicle crash on State Route 149 in Fort Ann.
The driver, Amanda E. Korzeniecki, 39, of Fort Ann, was found uninjured.
She was arrested for driving while intoxicated and other vehicle and traffic law violations after recording a 0.24% blood alcohol content at SP Greenwich.
Korzeniecki was released to a sober third party with tickets returnable to Fort Ann Town Court on June 4.
On May 24, at about 9:40 a.m., troopers from SP Saratoga responded to reports of an erratic vehicle in Saratoga Springs.
They located the vehicle, stopped on the shoulder of I-87, where the driver, Clement K. Kasweka, 45, of Waterbury, Conn., was found asleep in the running car.
Kasweka was arrested for driving while intoxicated and associated violations.
He recorded a 0.31% blood alcohol content at SP Saratoga, was arraigned in Malta Town Court, and released on his own recognizance.
On the same day at about 8:27 p.m., SP Fonda responded to a one-car rollover crash on State Route 5 in Amsterdam.
The driver, Robert H. Mcneill, 62, of Tribes Hill, was located nearby with the help of the Amsterdam Police Department.
Mcneill, who was uninjured, was arrested for driving while intoxicated and other violations.
Processed at SP Fonda, he recorded a 0.21% blood alcohol content, was issued tickets returnable to Amsterdam Town Court on June 19, and released.
At approximately 11:05 p.m. that day, State Police on Latham Interstate Patrol stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on Loudon Road in Colonie.
The driver, Andra D. Reyes, 37, of Schenectady, was accompanied by a child under 16, who was turned over to family members.
Reyes was arrested for aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child under Leandra’s Law, endangering the welfare of a child, and related violations.
She recorded a 0.12% blood alcohol content at SP Latham and was released to a sober third party with an appearance ticket for Colonie Town Court on June 18.
On May 25, at about 9:45 p.m., SP Schodack stopped a vehicle on State Route 9 for a traffic violation.
The driver, John A. Ferree, 47, of East Nassau, was arrested for driving while intoxicated after registering a 0.08% blood alcohol content at SP Schodack.
Investigation revealed a prior DWI conviction in the past ten years.
Ferree was released to a sober third party with court tickets due in Schodack on June 11.
On May 27 at about 9:01 p.m., SP Charlton conducted a welfare check in Providence, locating Margaret E. Williams, 30, of Delmar, asleep behind the wheel of a running vehicle.
Williams was arrested for driving while intoxicated and processed at SP Charlton with a 0.10% blood alcohol content.
She also had a previous DWI conviction within ten years.
Williams was released to a sober third party and ticketed for Providence Town Court on June 23.
Later, at about 11:38 p.m., SP Greenwich stopped a vehicle on State Route 29 in Greenwich.
The driver, Jacob J. Dyke, 33, of Greenwich, was arrested for driving while intoxicated and multiple related violations after recording a 0.10% blood alcohol content.
Further investigation indicated Dyke had multiple prior DWI convictions in the last decade and a revoked driver’s license.
He was transported to Washington County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
