GLENS FALLS — A Glens Falls woman was arrested on felony DWI charges following a traffic stop on Dix Avenue at approximately 11:45 p.m. May 23.

Police say Danielle N. Mitchell, 33, was pulled over after officers observed her failing to maintain her lane and nearly striking a marked patrol vehicle.

A DWI investigation was conducted on scene, and Mitchell was determined to have a blood alcohol content of 0.18% or greater.

She was charged with aggravated DWI and DWI, both felonies due to a prior DWI conviction within the last 10 years.

Mitchell was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled for further proceedings in Glens Falls City Court.

The arrest took place during a high visibility DWI patrol, part of an initiative by the Glens Falls Police Department in partnership with STOP-DWI New York to increase impaired driving enforcement.
