HIGHGATE — A Ludlow man was arrested Friday morning at the Interstate 89 Highgate Port of Entry on an active warrant.
Customs and Border Protection notified Vermont State Police at 9:42 a.m. that a male attempting to cross the border had an outstanding arrest warrant from Arkansas for a parole violation.
Troopers identified the man as Michael Baltz, 54, of Ludlow.
Baltz was taken into custody and transported to the St. Albans Barracks for processing.
He was held at the Northwest State Correctional Facility on $15,000 bail.
