SCHODACK — State Police arrested Scott D. Mallick, 54, of Berlin, on May 27 following an investigation into alleged child sexual exploitation.
The investigation was conducted with assistance from the Troop G Computer Crimes Unit, the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce, and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
Authorities accuse Mallick of promoting and possessing images consistent with child sexual exploitation.
The arrest followed a cyber tip provided by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Mallick was taken to SP Schodack, where he was arrested and processed.
He was arraigned in Berlin Town Court.
Mallick was released under the supervision of the Rensselaer County Probation Department.
