PITTSTOWN — A New York State Department of Transportation worker was struck by a vehicle on State Route 7 near the intersection of Campbell Lane on May 29 at about 2:15 p.m.
State Police responded to reports of a pedestrian being hit by a westbound vehicle at the scene.
The DOT worker sustained severe injuries and was airlifted to Albany Medical Center for treatment.
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
State Route 7 is closed to all traffic between Reservoir Lake Road and Parker School Road.
State Route 7 is closed to all commercial vehicles between Route 278 in Brunswick and State Route 22 in Hoosick.
