NEW BOSTON — A 19-year-old man was arrested Thursday on multiple felony charges related to child sexual abuse material.
Gregory Wells of New Boston was taken into custody following a joint operation involving the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office and the New Hampshire Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
The operation also included personnel from the Merrimack County Sheriff’s Office, Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office, Homeland Security Investigations, and police departments in New Boston, Goffstown, Bow, Merrimack and Seabrook.
Wells faces three felony counts of possession of child sexual abuse material after a four-month investigation into illicit internet activity.
He was held at the Hillsborough County Department of Corrections and arraigned Friday at 9 a.m. in Goffstown District Court.
A judge ordered Wells held on preventive detention pending future court hearings.
The investigation remains ongoing.
