MORAVIA — Cayuga County Sheriff Brian Schenck announced the arrest of Moses J. Geri, 43, of Summerhill, following a motor vehicle incident at Fillmore Glen State Park.

Deputies responded to a report of a two-vehicle accident at approximately 11:34 a.m. May 24 at the state park.

Upon arrival, deputies located a male, later identified as Geri, asleep on the ground near a truck.

Investigators determined that Geri had operated the truck while allegedly intoxicated and been involved in the motor vehicle accident.

Geri was transported to Auburn Community Hospital, where a blood sample was taken for testing.

Following treatment, deputies applied for a warrant for driving while intoxicated, first offense, as Geri had no prior DWI convictions.
Deputies arrested Geri on the warrant at 1:34 p.m. May 27.

He was taken to centralized arraignment and released to appear in Town of Moravia Court on June 12 at 6:00 p.m.
