MERIDEN — The Meriden Police Department began investigating a loan fraud case involving a local business on Aug. 5, 2023.
The case was assigned to Det. Jon Femia, who worked with other agencies to identify potential suspects.
Investigators determined the fraud was part of a broader operation, prompting the department to refer the case to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Connecticut issued a press release detailing the handling of the case.
