WORCESTER — On May 28, Worcester Police officers stopped a vehicle on Goldsberry St. in an attempt to apprehend Moses Rodriguez, 19, of Blackstone.

Rodriguez had active warrants for armed assault with intent to murder and home invasion.

Officers had information that he might be carrying a firearm.

After the vehicle was stopped, Rodriguez fled on foot down Goldsberry St. but was quickly taken into custody and arrested on the warrants.

Officers returned to the vehicle, where two other occupants remained.

Inside, they observed a handbag containing what appeared to be a handgun.
