MAYFIELD — A vehicle was fully engulfed in flames Wednesday afternoon on County Highway 155 near the western end of State Highway 29, according to the Broadalbin-Kennyetto Fire Company.
Fire crews from both the Broadalbin-Kennyetto Fire Company and the Perth Volunteer Fire Company were dispatched to the scene at 4:52 p.m.
Authorities reported the vehicle was unoccupied at the time of the fire.
Upon arrival, a Broadalbin-Kennyetto Fire Company incident commander advised that the vehicle was fully involved and located near storage containers behind a structure.
Local police also responded to the incident.
Perth Volunteer Fire Company was asked to send a tanker to assist in firefighting efforts.
Broadalbin-Kennyetto firefighters were advised to deploy a 1 1/2-inch hose line and use foam on the fire, ensuring the tanker reached the scene.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
