Providence man arrested on probation violation warrant after traffic stop

LINCOLN — A Providence man was arrested late Wednesday on a probation violation warrant issued by the U.S. Marshals Service.

Troopers stopped a vehicle on Hartford Avenue in Providence at 10 p.m. and took Jyireal Gadson, 27, into custody.

Gadson, of 42 Glenham Street, Providence, was wanted on a charge of fraud by wire related to unemployment funds.

He was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and later transferred to the Wyatt Detention Center.
