COLONIE — State Police and the Colonie Police Department responded to reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on Old Loudon Road on May 27.
Troopers arrived at the scene of the crash, which occurred around 10:12 p.m., where a southbound vehicle hit a pedestrian in the roadway.
The pedestrian suffered serious, life-threatening injuries and was transported to Albany Medical Center, where they remain in critical condition.
The driver stopped immediately after the collision and provided aid while a bystander contacted emergency services.
The driver has cooperated with authorities as the investigation continues.
