Palmyra police charge employee in store larceny case

PALMYRA — The Palmyra Police Department has announced the arrest of an employee in connection with a larceny that occurred at the Corner Market in the Village of Palmyra on May 28.

According to police, officers responded to a report of larceny after store management discovered a $100 bill had been taken from the store’s secure safe.

An internal investigation by the store determined that Brianna Moon, an employee, accessed the safe without permission and took the cash.

Police reviewed store records and conducted interviews before charging Moon with petit larceny under New York State Penal Law Section 155.25, a Class A misdemeanor.

Moon was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Palmyra Village Court to answer the charge.
