MORAVIA — A Moravia man was arrested on May 22 following a complaint of reckless driving at a bar in Summer Hill, according to the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to The Watering Hole Bar & Grill in the Town of Summer Hill around 1:54 p.m. after receiving reports that a male driver had left the establishment recklessly, causing rocks from the driveway to strike the building.
Law enforcement located the vehicle on Skinner Hill Road in the Town of Moravia.
Deputies found Moses J. Geri, 43, hunched over the steering wheel and initially unresponsive.
Officials said they were able to awaken Geri, and their investigation determined he had been operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
A breath sample provided by Geri registered a blood alcohol content of 0.13%.
Geri was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated (misdemeanor) and driving with a BAC above 0.08% (misdemeanor).
He was issued appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in Town of Moravia Court at a later date.
