Boston police arrest suspect in stabbing at Massachusetts General Hospital

BOSTON — Officers arrested a 56-year-old Boston man Thursday in connection with a stabbing at Massachusetts General Hospital.

John Huddleston was taken into custody following the incident, which occurred at the hospital located at 90 Blossom Street.

Police responded to a report of a person with a knife at approximately 8:32 a.m.

The call was later upgraded to a stabbing, and officers were given a suspect description.

Huddleston was apprehended at the scene.

Officers found an adult male victim receiving treatment for non-life-threatening stab wounds.

A crime scene was established in the hospital’s lobby vestibule.

Huddleston is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court on charges of mayhem and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
