BARTON — A 52-year-old man was arrested Wednesday evening following a reported domestic assault on Lincoln Avenue.
Robert Brosseau of Barton is accused of causing bodily injury to a family member.
The Vermont State Police responded to the incident at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday.
Investigators determined Brosseau had a prior conviction for second-degree aggravated domestic assault.
He was taken to the Derby barracks for processing and later lodged at the Northern State Correctional Facility.
Brosseau was held on $5,000 bail.
He is scheduled to appear in Orleans Superior Court on Thursday at 12:30 p.m. to face a charge of first-degree aggravated domestic assault.
