KILLINGTON — A Rutland woman has been arrested in connection with a residential burglary in Killington earlier this month.

Kristy Constantino, 47, turned herself in to police on May 22 after being identified as a suspect in the theft of approximately $1,600 worth of household items.

The burglary was reported to the Killington Police Department on May 19 after cleaning staff discovered missing property at the residence.

Surveillance footage showed a woman entering the home on May 16 and loading items into her car before leaving.

Police identified Constantino and obtained a search warrant for her home and vehicle.

On May 21, with assistance from Rutland City Police, officers executed the warrant but did not locate the stolen property.

Constantino was not present at the time.

She later contacted police and admitted involvement in the burglary, stating she was under the influence at the time and could not recall what happened to the stolen items.

Constantino was arrested and charged with burglary, possession of stolen property, and unlawful trespass, all felonies under Vermont law.

She was processed and released with a citation to appear in court on June 16 at 10:00 a.m.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact the Killington Police Department.
