Rochester man arrested for armed robbery at Hopewell cellphone store

CANANDAIGUA — On May 27, the Bureau of Criminal Investigations at SP Canandaigua arrested 25-year-old Karrim G. Bouchet of Rochester for robbery and grand larceny.

Bouchet is accused of robbing an AT&T store on Recreation Dr. in Hopewell by threatening employees with a gun and forcing them to open the safe.

Authorities say he stole more than $15,000 in cellphones and accessories.

State Police Investigators and the SP Waterloo Uniform Force located and arrested Bouchet in Waterloo within two hours of the robbery.

Bouchet was processed at SP Canandaigua and arraigned this morning.

He was remanded to Ontario County Jail on $5,000 cash bail and a $10,000 bond.
