SHAFTSBURY — Vermont State Police responded to a report of erratic driving on Route 7A at 4:48 p.m. on May 28.
A be on the lookout alert was issued for a vehicle swerving across lanes.
Troopers located the vehicle and stopped it on Route 67 for lane violations.
The driver, Luis A. Leon-Guiracocha, 27, of Sunderland, showed signs of impairment during the stop.
He was arrested for driving under the influence after failing field sobriety tests.
Leon-Guiracocha was processed at the Shaftsbury State Police Barracks and later released with a citation.
He is scheduled to appear in Bennington Criminal Division of Vermont Superior Court on June 16 at 8:30 a.m.
