Mount Tabor man cited for DUI after rollover crash on Route 7

MOUNT TABOR — Vermont State Police responded to a single-vehicle rollover crash at 12 a.m. Sunday on US Route 7 near Holland Heights.

Troopers identified the driver as Lucas Blay, 19, of Mount Tabor.

Police said Blay was not wearing a seat belt and was operating a 2005 Toyota Tundra.

The vehicle sustained moderate damage in the crash.

Weather was reported as cloudy with wet road conditions at the time of the incident.

Blay was found with suspected minor injuries and was taken to Rutland Regional Medical Center for evaluation.

Troopers observed signs of impairment while on scene.

After being cleared by medical staff, Blay was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence, his first offense.

He was processed and later released with a citation.

Blay is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court Rutland Criminal Division on June 22 at 10 a.m.
