KIRKWOOD — A Pennsylvania man is facing multiple felony charges after an attempted burglary was interrupted by an armed property owner.

Deputies from the Broome County Sheriff’s Office responded to a burglary report on Colesville Road at approximately 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 27.

Upon arrival, deputies found the property owner pointing a handgun at a masked suspect later identified as Wesley N. Wyckoff, 46, of Susquehanna, Pa.

Both men complied with deputies’ commands.

Investigators determined the property owner had discovered Wyckoff on the premises during a routine check.

Multiple buildings and a vehicle on the property showed signs of forced entry.

Wyckoff was found carrying burglary tools and a substance that field-tested positive for methamphetamine.
