WETHERSFIELD — The Town of Wethersfield will hold its annual fireworks display at Cove Park on Saturday, May 31, with festivities set to begin at 5:00 p.m.
The fireworks display is scheduled to start at approximately 9:00 p.m. and will run for about 30 minutes.
Wethersfield police officers will be present in the area and will begin assisting with traffic at around 4:30 p.m.
During the event, access to State Street will be restricted in both directions.
Heavy traffic is expected in the areas of Hartford Avenue, Nott Street, Garden Street, and Main Street.
A free shuttle service will be available from the Pitkin Community Center at 30 Greenfield Street to the Solomon Welles House at 220 Hartford Avenue.
The shuttle buses will run continuously from 5:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
