ALBANY — State Police assigned to the Troop G Community Stabilization Unit arrested Tyshaun J. Driver, 36, of Brooklyn, for criminal possession of a controlled substance in the first degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations.
Troopers stopped a vehicle on I-87 Thruway in Albany at about 3:31 p.m. on May 19 for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation.
The driver was identified as Driver.
Further investigation discovered a vacuum-sealed bag containing approximately 1 pound of a powder substance that field-tested positive for cocaine.
Driver was arrested and transported to SP Latham for processing.
He was then transported to the Albany County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
Further investigation also discovered Driver has an active warrant for his arrest in Montgomery County for unrelated but similar crimes.
