FRAMINGHAM — A 41-year-old Framingham woman died after being struck by a vehicle on Route 9 Sunday night, police said.
Framingham Police responded to 1881 Worcester Rd. at approximately 10:25 p.m. on May 25 for a reported pedestrian accident.
First responders performed lifesaving efforts at the scene before transporting the victim to MetroWest Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead.
The driver fled the scene but was later located and identified as Stewart Anderson, 44, of Framingham.
Anderson was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an accident causing personal injury or death.
The crash remains under investigation by Framingham Police, Massachusetts State Police and the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office.
