WILLIMANTIC — A dirt bike erupted in flames at Ash Jackson Chuckie’s gas station earlier today, according to Willimantic Police.
The rider quickly dismounted the burning vehicle and fled the scene on the back of another dirt bike.
No injuries were reported in the incident, which occurred at a fuel pump.
Police said the cause of the fire remains unclear but noted it appears to be an isolated incident.
